Middle class christians?

I'm a middle class american. My dad works a good job, but we will never be rich with the amount of kids we have. I've never been without food, there's always been presents underneath the Christmas tree each year. I have a bed, a roof over my head, and two loving parents. For the most part, my life has been pretty normal. I've had my struggles. I have battled depression and anxiety for the past three years. It has improved, but it's a lifetime thing. But you know what? I don't want to end my life as just a 'middle class citizen' or a 'good person'. I don't want to be a 'middle class christian' either. I want my life to scream who my Creator and Savior is. I am nothing without him, and everything that has been provided for me is from him. I struggle to walk the path He has laid for me. Sometimes I lie down and say "God, i'm really struggling. I want to do what's right, but I don't know where to go from here." I struggle with being criticized, judged, and dealing with my failures. But you know what? I am NEVER ALONE. Do you know what Jesus says about 'middle class christians'? That he wants to spit them out! Have you ever eaten anything or tasted a new drink, and it was the worst thing imaginable? You wanted to spit it RIGHT out of your mouth. That is how luke-warm christians 'taste' to our Savior. If our faith is just a label, our faith is USELESS! Absolutely useless. In Luke, Christ refers to us and our faith as salt, able to 'season' the world we are in. But if we are just empty salt without flavor, we are not even able to be thrown into the manure pile! Now I have to say something. I am not trying to hit anyone over the head. I am no better than any other person, and I fail daily. What I DO want us all to think about is HOW MUCH time are we dedicating to God in our lives? Do we work with God, instead of trying to have God work alongside US? Are we faint to tell others about Him and His love, or to even let others know that He is a part of our lives? God out of His great love purposed each and EVERY one of us to change some part of the world. Are you ready to follow and work for the God who you can never repay? He made the world, the plants we use to make our food, He destined us for a purpose, He chooses our spouses and our families, He COMFORTS US. DON'T lose your saltiness. Help to change the world with HIS POWER.

Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV)

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Luke 14:34-35 34 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? 35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.

“Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
